What to Expect on Sunday

Silver City Church is an independent Reformed church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. We gather each Sunday to worship the triune God, hear His Word preached passage by passage, and enjoy Christ-centered fellowship with one another. We take our motto from the old catechism, "Glorify God, Enjoy Him Forever," and that is what we hope your Sunday with us will be about.

Our mission is to spread the glorious Gospel of Christ in the Mt. Sterling and East-Central Kentucky area. His Kingdom come. His will be done. In Mt. Sterling. To the ends of the earth.

Worship runs from 10:30am until about noon. We love to sing hymns, spiritual songs and psalms with excellent instrumentation and joyful hearts. We observe the Lord's Supper on the last Sunday of every month. There's no dress code, so come as you are.

Sunday Schedule

  • 9:30am: Sunday School for kids and adults
  • 10:30am: Worship Service
  • After worship: Fellowship meal. Please stay and eat with us. You don't need to bring a thing. Just come hungry.

We're just off Exit 110 on I-64. Park in front of the conference center and come in through the lower entrance.

Kids & Families

Silver City Church seeks to train up biblical men and women to yield biblical families. Children are a welcome part of our church life. Sunday School at 9:30am is for kids and adults alike, and Kingdom Kids is our ministry for children ages 4 to 11.

We are a family-integrated church. Children worship right alongside their parents, so there is no children's church or nursery during the service. For moms who need a quiet place, we have a mother's room for nursing babies and toddlers.

We believe the Bible is the only inerrant Word of God and our only ultimate and infallible authority for faith and practice. We subscribe to the historic creeds of the church and to the Westminster Standards. We are committed to passage-by-passage preaching of the Bible and to the leadership of a plurality of elders.

Silver City was established in 2022 as the first mission church of East River Church in Batavia, Ohio. We are part of the Ohio Valley Mission, a fellowship of confessional churches in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

Short FAQ

What time should I arrive?
Sunday School begins at 9:30am and worship at 10:30am. We suggest arriving about 10 minutes early so you have time to park, find the lower entrance and settle in.

Can I hear a sermon before I come?
Yes. Visit Sermons & Teachings.

Is there something for my kids?
Yes. Sunday School is for kids and adults at 9:30am, and Kingdom Kids serves children ages 4 to 11. During worship, children stay with their families, and a mother's room is available for nursing babies and toddlers.

Do I need to do anything ahead of time?
